Successful launch at Europe’s most important radiation therapy congress

April 2018: LAP presented two new products at the 37th annual meeting of the European Society of Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) in Barcelona. Worldwide the first time the advanced laser system DORADOnova 5 for patient marking was demonstrated to the expert audience. The further development of the successful DORADO 4 system, which was first time launched 20 years ago, consists of five rails with movable red, green or blue laser diodes. The laser lines can be moved by tablet or desktop PC in all three body planes and allow easy and free marking of the patient at the CT or PET CT. The main advantage is to save valuable time at the Linac with a precise and flexible patient marking solution already at the CT.  The system can be applied to almost every clinical workflow and patient situation. Couch or patient movement is not necessary anymore.

EASY CUBE has been shown the first time in Europe as LAP product. The multi-modular phantom for dosimetry and beyond consists of highly homogenous RW3 material. With its various extensions and accessories EASY CUBE can be perfectly used for End-to-End tests in radiation therapy. Manufactured at LAPs subsidiary Euromechanics Medical GmbH and worldwide distributed by LAP the water-equivalent phantom attracted attention to the ESTRO delegates in Barcelona.

Euromechanics also presented their new developments for customized Multileaf Collimators at the LAP booth. At the first time the MLC has been transparently showcased to discover the build-in state-of-the-art mechanical and electrical components.
